About the Role
Family Inceptions is hiring a Surrogacy Case Manager to work directly with surrogates and intended parents throughout the surrogacy process.You will conduct interviews, manage assigned cases, coordinate with the professionals involved in each journey, and serve as the primary point of contact for both the surrogate and intended parents.
We are looking for an experienced surrogate who also has a strong professional work history. You need to be organized, comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines, and able to communicate well with clients and professionals, including when situations are difficult or emotional.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct interviews with prospective surrogates and intended parents.
- Manage surrogacy cases and serve as the primary point of contact for both parties.
- Guide surrogates and intended parents through the matching process.
- Coordinate with fertility clinics, attorneys, mental health professionals, insurance providers, and other professionals involved in each case.
- Track medical, legal, insurance, and case milestones and follow up on outstanding items.
- Manage cases through medical clearance, legal clearance, embryo transfer, pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum.
- Maintain regular communication with surrogates and intended parents so both parties know what is happening and what comes next.
- Conduct regular check-ins with both parties throughout the journey.
- Handle questions, concerns, misunderstandings, and difficult conversations as they arise.
- Provide non-clinical support during failed transfers, pregnancy loss, medical complications, changes in plans, and other difficult situations.
- Identify potential problems early and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Maintain complete and accurate case notes, records, and documentation in company systems.
- Follow company policies and procedures for case management, communication, documentation, and confidentiality.
- Participate in case meetings and provide updates to leadership.
What We're Looking For
Required- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Must have personally completed at least one surrogacy journey.
- At least 3 years of professional work experience.
- Professional experience managing clients, cases, projects, or other responsibilities that require strong organization, follow-through, and accountability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines at the same time.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation.
- Comfortable handling difficult conversations and emotionally sensitive situations.
- Able to work independently and use good judgment.
- Able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Comfortable working with different tools and technology
- Licensed social worker (LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent state credential).
- Degree or professional background in social work, psychology, counseling, human services, healthcare, case management, or a related field.
- Previous professional experience with a surrogacy agency or fertility organization.
- Experience working with fertility clinics, reproductive attorneys, insurance professionals, or other professionals involved in surrogacy.
- Experience using case management or CRM systems.
